InfoEd's SPINPlus is a Web-based subscription package that bundles SPIN, a funding opportunities database, with GENIUS, a flexible CV / Bio-Sketch database, and SMARTS, an automated alerts system that matches investigators with grant and contract announcements based on their user profiles.
SPIN (The Sponsored Programs Information Network) provides up-to-date information on current national and international government and private funding sources, including fellowships, research grants, publication support, sabbatical support, curriculum development, and more. All of the data on SPIN is obtained directly from the sponsoring agencies to ensure the integrity of the information.
SMARTS (The SPIN Matching And Research Transmittal Service) is an automated daily alerts system that notifies investigators of relevant new programs that match their GENIUS profiles. SMARTS pushes relevant funding opportunities to users saving them precious time and effort, while ensuring they are kept abreast of the latest programs in their areas of interest. SMARTS sends daily email reports in either Summary or Full Program format.
